Shrinkwrap
Shrinkwrap is the long-running studio collaboration between Nottingham producers Matt Horobin and Mark Rayner. Spanning nearly three decades, the project is less a traditional band and more a shared sonic laboratory, a place where the pair's obsessive love for analogue gear, dub textures, and "head music" converges.
Emerging from the creative ferment of Nottingham's late-90s underground, Shrinkwrap has evolved from a series of experimental sketches into a widescreen electronic entity. Their sound is defined by a "cutting and gluing" philosophy: a tactile, collage-based approach to production where musical saws, vintage synths, and field recordings are sampled, distorted, and reassembled until they form a coherent, immersive world.
With a discography touching labels like Nuphonic, U-Star, and Is It Balearic?, Shrinkwrap represents the electronic heart of the Delia Recordings family, standing in the space between the dancefloor and the dream state.

Matt Horobin
A lifelong gear collector and the sonic architect behind much of the Delia Recordings output (including the mixing and curation of the label's debut compilation), Matt Horobin's musical roots lie in the pivotal shift of the late 1980s. Cutting his teeth just as Acid House began to bubble over, Matt's influences were forged in the duality of his youth, oscillating between the art-pop sophistication of Talk Talk and David Sylvian, and the raw, mechanical pulse of early New Order. This tension – between the beautiful and the mechanical – remains central to his production style, which prioritises emotional weight and three-dimensional detail over technical perfection.
Mark Rayner
If Matt brings the studio obsession, Mark Rayner brings the instinct of the selector. A veteran of Nottingham's legendary 90s underground house scene, Mark spent the decade DJing alongside legends like Idjut Boys and Kelvin Andrews. His background in the club culture of the era informs Shrinkwrap's underlying groove with a sense of rhythm that is felt rather than forced. Mark's approach is rooted in the vibe of the room, translating the hypnotic, collective experience of 90s club culture into the intricate, headphone-ready landscapes of Shrinkwrap's studio work.
